Man City vs Hoffenheim
Champions League 2018-19
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Kick-off: 8pm GMT

Manchester City can clinch top spot in Group F with victory over Hoffenheim tonight, while only a draw will be needed if Lyon fail to beat Shakhtar Donetsk.

Sergio Aguero's 83rd-minute equaliser in France last time out leaves Pep Guardiola's side sitting pretty, with their German opponents needing a victory to stand any chance of reaching the Europa League.

Team news

Pep Guardiola says he only has 15 fit senior players available. Defender Danilo and midfielders David Silva and Fernandinho are the latest additions to an injury list that includes Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy and Claudio Bravo.

Striker Aguero (groin) and playmaker (De Bruyne) are both edging closer to a return and trained with the group on Tuesday, but the game comes too soon. Right-back Kyle Walker is expected to overcome a minor illness but numbers could be made up with youngsters.

Provisional squad: Ederson, Muric, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Laporte, Kompany, Mangala, Zinchenko, Delph, Gundogan, Foden, B Silva, Sterling, Sane, Mahrez, Jesus, Diaz, F Nmecha

Head to Head
