Manchester City continued their perfect start to the Premier League campaign on Saturday with a comeback victory over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium.

The Blues got off to the worst possible start when Yoane Wissa headed home at the back stick to give the Bees a surprise lead. However, Erling Haaland continued his rich vein of form with a brace before the half-hour mark to secure the three points.

City's win over Thomas Frank's side was capped when news circulated from Anfield that Liverpool, the only other team with a 100 per cent record this season had lost to Nottingham Forest after a Callum Hudson-Odoi strike. Heading into a busy period, MEN Sport has taken a look at how Pep Guardiola's men's fixtures compare to their Premier League title rivals.

City's next five fixtures

Arsenal H - September 22

Newcastle United A - September 28

Fulham H - October 5

Wolverhampton Wanderers A - October 20

Southampton H - October 26

MEN Sport's verdict: The focus for City will be on those top two matches, which already at this early stage of the season could be pivotal. Playing Arsenal at any time of the season is a must not lose but after this brilliant start, the emphasis will be on picking up another victory next weekend and increasing the gap between themselves and the Gunners. Newcastle away a week later will be tricky too particularly after recent visits to St James' Park. The final three fixtures of the five cannot be underestimated but if you want to be winning the Premier League, you need to be winning those.

Arsenal's next five fixtures

Tottenham Hotspur A - September 15

Manchester City A - September 22

Leicester City H - September 28

Southampton H - October 5

AFC Bournemouth A - October 19

MEN Sport's verdict: Like City, Arsenal will have all eyes planted on those first two games of the next five as they are potentially title deciding. After that, the Gunners will be hoping for nine points from nine but no game is a gimme in the Premier League.

Liverpool's next five fixtures

AFC Bournemouth H - September 21

Wolverhampton Wanderers A - September 28

Crystal Palace A - October 5

Chelsea H - October 20

Arsenal A - October 27

MEN Sport's verdict: Arguably, Arne Slot's men have the easiest next five fixtures on paper but those two games at the end of the run could throw a spanner in the works. Which Chelsea side turns up is anyone's guess but the clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium will be a true test of the Reds' new manager.
