A man who fathered at least six children with one of his own daughters, has been found guilty of 36 counts of rape.

Over the course of two decades, he repeatedly assaulted her, along with another daughter at home and in his car, Swansea Crown Court heard.

He also repeatedly raped one of the girls his daughter had given birth to.

The man manipulated his daughters by using mysticism and sending them instructions through what they believed was a psychic app, instructing them them to have sex with him and other men, the jury was told.

The man, who cannot be name for legal reasons, also arranged for a friend to rape one of his daughters while he watched.

“These sickening acts of abuse were carried out by a person that was supposed to protect and care for the victims, but instead he systematically controlled their lives, grooming them for his sexual gratification,” said Hayley Fackrell, of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

DNA tests showed that six children born to one daughter were her father’s children, the CPs said.

“I have been involved in criminal cases as a barrister and as a judge for 40 years,” said Judge Paul Thomas QC. “This is in the top three worst cases I have ever had to deal with,” he said, thanking jurors for doing their duty."

He added that counselling was available for members of the jury.

The man, who was also convicted of one count of assault by penetration, will be sentenced later this month.
