Man in court for driving while banned on road in Bradford

A MAN has appeared in court for driving while disqualified in Bradford.

Adheel Iqbal, 32, of Legrams Avenue, Bradford, was caught driving a Mercedes Sprinter on Thornton Road, Bradford, while disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence. The offence took place on May 16, 2020.

He was handed six driving licence points, fined £162 and ordered to pay £150 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.

He changed his plea to guilty for the driving while disqualified charge after initially pleading guilty at a previous hearing.

The offence was contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988 and the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Iqbal was sentenced at a hearing held at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on March 10, 2023.
