A man accused of robbery has refuted claims that he ran over and killed a man with his own vehicle. Errol Woodger, 37, was reportedly confronted by Marc Allen while trying to steal his Mercedes GLA.

The defendant is alleged to have reacted by running over the 51-year-old in the driveway of his home on Peareswood Road, Erith on December 19, 2019. Mr Allen was thrown over the car and succumbed to head injuries in hospital a month later.

On Monday, Woodger appeared at the Old Bailey via video-link from Thameside Prison. He pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Allen and the theft of his Mercedes.
