Man detained by police dog in Hull - on suspicion of stealing dog food
A man in Hull has been detained by a police dog - on suspicion of stealing dog food.
Humberside Police said officers were called to Pets At Home, in Rix Road, on Thursday (September 6) following reports a man had entered the store and stolen around £50 worth of dog food.
He was confronted by a member of staff but is then reported to have fled the scene in a car. Officers were deployed to the area alongside PD Arnie, and the vehicle was located in the vicinity of Greenwood Avenue.
The man is then reported to have abandoned the car on Oldstead Avenue and, following a short 'paw chase', was detained by PD Arnie.
He was arrested on suspicion of theft and driving without a licence or insurance.
