A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We’re now appealing for a specific driver to come forward who we believe was a key witness to the incident. The car they were driving was described a small dark-coloured Mini-type vehicle, and the driver was described by witnesses as an older woman.

"As well as this important potential witness, we want to hear from anyone else who may have seen this collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision. If this is you, please get in contact with us as soon as you possibly can."
