Man dies after A47 two-vehicle crash in Cambridgeshire

A man has died and multiple people have been injured following a crash on the A47 in Cambridgeshire. The incident happened on Wednesday (November 20).

Emergency services, including police and ambulance, were called to Thorney Toll at around 8.50pm. The crash involved a grey Nissan Pulsar and a grey Toyota Prius.

A passenger in the Nissan, a man in his 60s, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital where he died of his injuries. The driver, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers were also taken to hospital, a woman in her 30s, with life-threatening injuries, and a man in his 20s, with minor injuries.

Cambridgeshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone who saw the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident. They would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time with dashcam footage.
