Man dies after crashing car into wall

A man has died after crashing into a wall. Emergency services were called to the scene at Brickwall Green, Sefton Village at around 3.20pm on Monday, October 28.

The driver of the car, a Ford Ka, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. A road closure was in place from Brooms Cross Road to Bridges Lane and Brickwall Lane at the junction with Lunt Road while the incident was dealt with.

In an update today, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed the driver of the car, a man in his 60s, had died. Police also confirmed it was a one car crash and it is believed the man suffered a medical episode.
