A Coventry man has died after falling from the balcony of a tower block. Police were called to Longfield House on Bell Green Road around 1.30pm yesterday (Saturday, September 21).

The 46-year-old man’s death was not being treated as suspicious, according to West Midlands Police, who said it would be referred to the coroner. Police did not confirm what floor he fell from, though local residents said it was several stories high.

West Midlands Ambulance and West Midlands Fire Service staff were also dispatched to the scene, where a helicopter was seen. A nearby resident told CoventryLive he heard shouting and considered calling police.
