Man dies after fire breaks out on house boat in Gloucestershire
A man has died after a fire broke out on a house boat in Gloucestershire. Fire crews were called to the scene at Lechlade Marina at around 6.30am this morning.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, a man on board the boat was pronounced dead. Work is ongoing to notify his next of kin and the coroner has been informed.
Gloucestershire Police has now launched an investigation into the fire. They are appealing to the public for information on the cause of the blaze.

Police said: "The cause of the fire is under investigation and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area from around 6am and may have information to come forward. Police remain at the scene while enquiries take place.
