Man, 57, dies in head-on Glasgow collision with HGV in Clyde Tunnel tragedy
A 57-year-old man driving a Nissan Qashqai has tragically died following a head-on collision with a HGV near the Clyde Tunnel.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, scrambled to the A739 Balshagray Avenue following the incident which took place just before 2pm on Tuesday, January 14.
Sadly, the driver of the white Qashqai was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

The driver of the lorry, a 53-year-old man was taken to hospital as a precaution. The road was closed to allow crash scene investigators to conduct their investigation.
Sergeant Christopher Hoggans said: "Our thoughts are with the deceased’s family. Our inquires remain ongoing as we work to establish how this collision occurred. I would ask road users and members of the public who were in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
"If you have any dash cam footage please check it and is could prove significant to our investigation."
