Man dies in Gloucester after being found on road

Gloucestershire Police said a man has died after he was found on a road during the early hours of the morning in Gloucester.

A man has died after being found on a road in Gloucester during the early hours of this morning (Sunday, November 24). Gloucestershire Police, who were heading to another incident, discovered the man on Painswick Road, Matson, at around 12.15am.

Despite attempts by officers and paramedics, a 38-year-old man from Matson was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

Closures remain on Painswick Road, close to the junction with Heron Way and Norbury Avenue, so investigators can examine the scene. Officers have also conducted house-to-house enquiries and are examining CCTV footage.
