Man dies in lorry crash on A49 near Hereford
An elderly man died following a crash near Hereford. Investigating officers from West Mercia Police are now appealing for witnesses following the collision on the A49 yesterday (Saturday, September 7).
The collision, which involved a pedestrian and a HGV lorry, took place between the turning for the A466 and the turning for Callow at around 7.30am. The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for over seven hours following the fatal crash. Traffic officers issued diversion routes for motorists to follow.

Police are now appealing to the public for information on the crash. They are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
