Man dies at Totnes pub
A man has died after falling ill at a Totnes pub. Emergency services were called to an annexe attached to the The Albert Inn pub yesterday (Sunday, September 22).
Paramedics assisted man who had fallen ill, tragically he was later pronounced deceased at the scene. Devon & Cornwall Police has confirmed the death is not believed to be suspicious.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 13:59hrs on Sunday 22 September to an incident in Totnes. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, two critical care cars, and a first responder to the scene."
Devon and Cornwall police shared: "Emergency services were called to Bridgetown, Totnes on Sunday 22 September following reports of a man being taken ill.
"He was located within a property but sadly, despite the efforts of the paramedics, the local man in his 60s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His death is not believed to be suspicious and his next of kin has been informed. A file will be prepared for HM coroner."
