Man In Court Over Scientist's Beheading

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was found beheaded.

The woman, who is in her 30s and has been named as scientist Samantha Ho, was discovered at a house in Cambridgeshire after armed officers were called.

Witnesses said her body and head were found separately at the house in Curlew Place, St Neots.

The woman died after suffering multiple cuts to the neck, a post-mortem examination found.

Timothy Allen, 40, of Curlew Place, St Neots, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, where he was remanded in custody to appear via video link at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: "The death is being treated as an isolated incident and no one else is being sought in connection.

"Officers are in contact with the victim's family and they are being kept up to date on the inquiry.

"There will also be extra police patrols in the area as inquiries at the property continue."
