California resident Travis Hann captured on video his escape with his family on October 9 from the wildfires devastating Santa Rosa, California.
Hann set up a GoFundMe page, where he said he was “driving for my life” when describing the incident. Hann told Storyul the video was only twenty seconds long because the flames made it hard to see the road ahead. Hann and his family managed to escape without harm but he believes his home was destroyed.
At least 17 people have been killed and as many as 2,000 structures destroyed by the flames, the Los Angeles Times reported.
