Man falls from balcony within Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art as police remain at scene
Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art has closed early after a member of the public fell from a balcony this afternoon.
Emergency services raced to Royal Exchange Square at around 12:30pm on Wednesday, September 11, following the incident.
We previously reported how emergency services had swarmed the scene with multiple police and ambulance units pictured at the city centre gallery.

The nature of the man's injuries are currently unknown.
It is understood the gallery will re-open at 10am on Thursday, September 12. Emergency services are believed to still be at the scene.
A Gallery of Modern Art spokesperson said: "The Gallery of Modern Art has closed early today after a member of the public fell from a balcony. Emergency services are in attendance. The building will reopen as normal tomorrow, Thursday 12 September at 10am."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance at Royal Exchange Square after reports a man had fallen from height inside an art gallery. Police were notified 12.30pm on Wednesday, 11 September, 2024. Enquiries are ongoing. Officers remain at the scene."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "“We received a call at 12:23 to attend an incident on Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow. We dispatched one ambulance, one paramedic response unit (PRU), and one trauma team to the scene.”
