Man fighting for life after being hit by his own parked car in horror crash
A pensioner is fighting for his life after being hit by his own parked car following a horror crash in Salford. Greater Manchester Police says the stationary Vauxhall Mokka was hit by a BMW 420i car travelling in a north-easterly direction on Park Lane, in Broughton Park, yesterday afternoon (September 14).
The Vauxhall then shunted backwards following the impact, before hitting its owner - a man in his 70s - while he was stood behind it. Emergency services were called out to the scene at around 12.50pm.
They found the man had suffered serious injuries which are believed to be life-threatening. Witnesses are now being urged to come forward following the incident.
