Man found dead in car park after being stabbed in liver may have been homeless

Police have named a man who was found dead in a London car park after being stabbed in the liver.

Ion Radu, 46, was discovered by a member of the public on Thursday morning.

Officers went to Effra Court in Crystal Palace at 9.24am but Mr Radu was declared dead shortly after.

A post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as a stab wound to the liver.

No arrests have been made but a murder investigation is under way.

Met Police Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas is urging anyone who saw Mr Radu in the 48 hours before he died to come forward.

"We think that Ion may have been homeless, and potentially vulnerable," he said.

"We think he was a familiar face in the area, and may have engaged with local people.

"We are working to build a picture of Ion's life and we need the public to help us. If you have information that you want to share, no matter how insignificant it might seen, please get in touch."
