Man found with serious injuries in Selly Oak's Bristol Road

Police are appealing for information after a man was found in a city street with serious injuries. The man was found injured in Selly Oak's Bristol Road, near North Road, on Saturday evening (June 1).

The 32-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition, West Midlands Police said. The force did not provide any further details on his injuries.

Officers will continue to carry out CCTV enquiries and patrols in the area were increased. Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the force.

Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving through the area between 8.15pm and 8.45pm. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for information after a man was found with serious injuries on Bristol Road, Selly Oak, last night, June 1.

"The 32-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition. CCTV enquiries are ongoing and patrols have been stepped up in the area to offer reassurance to the local community.

"We're keen to speak to anyone with information, or anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving along the Bristol Road through Selly Oak, near to North Road, between 8.15pm and 8.45pm."
