A man got hit by a double-decker bus – got to his feet and then casually walked into a pub

CCTV footage shows a man being hit by a double-decker bus, and then getting to his feet and walking into a nearby pub.

The remarkable footage shows Simon Smith crossing a road in Reading as the bus comes round the corner. The bus hits him and he is flown 20 feet across the pavement.

Incredibly he gets up with only minor injuries, despite the crash looking extremely severe. He then walks into a pub.

Mr Smith told the BBC he felt "lucky to be alive". Reading Buses said there is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
