Man bailed over Pippa Middleton iCloud hacking claim

A man who was arrested by police investigating claims that Pippa Middleton's iCloud account was hacked has been bailed.

Scotland Yard said the 35-year-old suspect was arrested at an address in Northamptonshire on suspicion of a Computer Misuse Act offence.

He was taken into custody at a south London police station on Saturday evening and bailed late on Sunday.

He has been ordered to return to a south London police station on a date late in November and police will continue their inquiries meanwhile.

Around 3,000 private photographs, said to include snaps of Kate's sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, and her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were reportedly stolen from Ms Middleton's internet account.

The images were offered by an anonymous seller via WhatsApp to several UK newspapers.

The Sun said it had been approached by someone using a pseudonym and asking for £50,000 within 48 hours.

The Daily Mail reported that the images offered included some of the royal children as well as wedding dresses and parties.

The alleged theft comes two years after a host of celebrities, including actress Jennifer Lawrence and model Kate Upton, fell victim to a hacker attack on the iCloud.

In July, it was announced that Pippa Middleton would marry her financier boyfriend, James Matthews, in a society wedding in 2017.

William and Kate said they were a "wonderful couple".

Hedge fund boss Mr Matthews proposed during a trip to the Lake District after they had dated for less than a year.
