A man from south London has been charged with a terror offence, the Metropolitan Police has said.
Ravi Mendis, 43, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and making threats to kill.
He was charged with preparing an act of terror on Saturday.
Mendis is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
