Man hit by car while walking near Wakefield Wildcats ground
Police are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car in Wakefield.
The 43-year-old man was taken to hospital after being hit by the white Toyata Prius in Doncaster Road, close to the Wakefield Wildcats ground, shortly before 1am on Friday, November 22. It has been said the car was travelling towards Crofton.
West Yorkshire Police said the man suffered serious injuries which were not life threatening in the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police are appealing for information following a serious injury road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a Toyota Prius on Doncaster Road, Wakefield.
"This occurred close to the Wakefield Wildcats ground shortly before 1am on Friday, 22 November, when the white car was travelling towards Crofton. The pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which were found not to be life-threatening.
"Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are appealing for anyone who may have seen the pedestrian or the vehicle prior to, or at the time of the collision to come forward with any information that may assist."
