Man in hospital after rescue from Neath house fire

A 50-year-old man was rescued from a house fire on Saturday night (September 28). He was extracted from a property in Heol Y Felin, Caewern, Neath, and taken to hospital.

South Wales Police was called to the scene at 6.45pm, a spokeswoman confirmed. It said the man remained in a stable condition in hospital.

A statement added: "Inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances behind the incident. Information will be released about the cause of the fire once this has been established."

Fire crews attended and rescued the man from the property, and extinguished the blaze. Firefighters left the scene at 8.16pm. For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter
