Man in hospital after vehicle land on roof outside Stapleford car dealership
A man has been taken to hospital after a crash outside a Stapleford car dealership which saw a vehicle end up on its roof. Pictures from outside the Sandicliffe Ford building on Nottingham Road show the upturned vehicle at the scene on Friday morning (September 20).
Crews from three fire stations attended the scene, with the incident having taken place in the early hours. Reports suggest a vehicle had mounted the pavement and collided with another car outside the Sandicliffe building.
The Sandicliffe car dealership group has been operating out of Stapleford since 1948 and now has branches across Nottingham and Leicester. The incident took place outside its car and commercial vehicle service building, opposite its used car dealership in Stapleford.
Nottinghamshire Police has been contacted for further information. Confirming details of the incident, the Stapleford Fire Station said: "In the early hours of Friday morning, our team, supported by Highfields Fire Station and Ilkeston Community Fire Station, attended a report of a Road Traffic Collision.
"One male was extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital by road ambulance. We wish him a speedy recovery." Sandicliffe was also contacted for comment.
