Man injured during Guildford robbery as police hunt two masked men

The incident involved two men wearing balaclavas, who demanded the victim hand over various items

A man was injured after a robbery in Guildford. Surrey Police is appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forwards.

Police say the incident took place in Ashenden Road on Sunday, January 26 where officers were called following a report from South East Coast Ambulance that a man had been attacked at around 11.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: "The suspects approached the victim and demanded that he hand over various items, including a pair of wireless earbuds which they made off with."

During the incident, the victim received minor injuries and was discharged from hospital later that evening. Police are hunting two men in connection with the incident.

The first suspect is a man described of normal build and around 6ft in height. He was wearing a black puffer jacket, dark clothing, gloves and a black balaclava. The second suspect is described a man of a larger build also around 6ft tall. He was wearing a black puffer jacket, dark clothing, gloves and a black balaclava.

Surrey Police have said an investigation is underway to identify and locate the suspects. The force has requested that anyone who was in the area at the time, or has CCTV footage which captured the incident; to get in contact with them.
