Man injured in 'hit and run' after BMW breaks down

A man was injured after being hit by a car which failed to stop at the scene. The incident occurred on The Crescent, near Southport Road in Bootle, at around 3.10pm on Thursday, September 12.

The man was near to his broken down BMW when he was struck by a different car, reportedly sustaining a leg injury. Emergency services were called to the scene.

Merseyside Police said enquiries are ongoing to locate the second vehicle, which failed to stop at the scene. Southport Road was partially blocked by police but has since been reopened.
