Man jailed for seven years after savage forecourt machete attack

A violent thug who attacked a man with a baseball bat and machete on a petrol station forecourt has been jailed for more than seven years.

Mohammed Waqas, 27, was part of a gang of yobs who chased the 31-year-old victim after they first tried to mow him down in the street in a red Audi A3.

The man managed to escape by jumping into a passing Vauxhall Corsa before Waqas and his accomplices followed the vehicle on May 23 last year.

When the car pulled on to a Morrisons and Texaco Filling Station forecourt in Tipton, West Midlands, the thugs attacked the car with baseball bats and smashed its windows.
