Man killed after car crashes into wall in Shipley amid Storm Bert
A Bradford man has been killed after his car crashed into a wall in Shipley during the early hours of the morning.
West Yorkshire Police were called at 12.59am to Moorhead Lane at the junction with Beechwood Grove in Shipley to reports of a car crash involving a blue Renault Captur. The car had been travelling northeast towards Saltaire and had crashed into a wall.
The driver was a 34-year-old man from Bradford, who was given emergency treatment. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

A road closure has remained in place as the police work to clear the scene.

This comes as heavy snow fell over Yorkshire overnight, and many roads became slippery and dangerous.
West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a road traffic collision in Shipley.
"At 12.59am this morning, police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending a single vehicle collision in Moorhead Lane at the junction with Beechwood Grove. A blue Renault Captur, which had been travelling north-east towards Saltaire, had collided with a wall.
"The driver, a 34-year-old man from Bradford, was given emergency treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
"A road closure has remained in place while the scene is being cleared."
