The Marine Bar & Kitchen has found new life under new management. Based in Waterloo, the venue is now in the hands of Jason Foulder, who boasts more than a decade of hospitality experience.

As soon as The Marine Bar & Kitchen caught Jason's eye, he was determined to restore the pub to its former glory. The pub is back open for business seven days a week but Jason has big plans for the future.

He said: “I’m really excited by the opportunity here and I’m looking forward to turning the Marine around. We’re starting with the basics; getting the pub back to serving good food, and good drinks within a brilliant atmosphere."

The Marine Bar & Kitchen now boasts an extended back bar with midweek offers. Guests can also chow down on seasonal menus including traditional pub favourites and the current festive range.

Jason said: "The food side of the business is really important to me, there’s so much potential here, and with our generous outdoor space, the capacity for guests almost triples in size during the warmer months. I want us to be known for dishing up authentic, hearty, and tasty pub classics."

Jason is planning for regular live music nights to create a community hub for locals to enjoy. He added: "I’m a big fan of ambience and giving our guests a reason to visit, entertaining them and bringing back regular artists.

"Everywhere I’ve worked previously, we’ve always hosted live music, and I personally love to go to a pub, especially on a Sunday where there’s a local artist performing there. I want to recreate that vibe at the Marine, and bring the music scene indoors too."

"I want us to offer something that no one else does. We would be the first pub in the area to introduce a regular event schedule, and if it doesn’t work – at least we tried. For me it’s about being open and inclusive, not being afraid to think outside of the box, and importantly, to have fun whilst doing it.”

The Marine Bar & Kitchen will also host a Christmas market pop-up on December 8 from midday until 6pm.
