Man left with facial injuries and broken jaw after serious assault in Forest Hall
Police are investigating a serious assault in North Tyneside which left a man with facial injuries and a broken jaw.
At around 11pm on Friday, August 2, Northumbria Police received a report via the ambulance service of a disturbance having taken place outside of a premises on Station Road North in Forest Hall. Emergency services attended where it was reported that a man had been approached from behind by an unknown male, before being kicked and punched to the head several times. The offender has then fled the scene before police arrival.
The victim – in his 50s – was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his face, including a broken jaw. He has since been discharged.

A number of enquiries have been carried out since the incident, and officers are now appealing to the public for any information which could help identify those responsible.
