Man missing for over a month as police launch urgent search

Police have launched an urgent search for a Scots man who was last seen over a month ago.

William Barclay who has been reported missing from Newmilns was last seen on August 26 and concerns are increasing for his welfare.

The 54-year-old is described as being 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build, with short grey hair.

Cops believe he may have travelled to Oban, Fort William or Mallaig.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "William may have travelled by bus to the Oban, Fort William or Mallaig areas.

"Anyone who may have seen William is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1035 of 28 September, 2024."
