Man Like Mobeen's fourth season has officially landed a release date.

Guz Khan, who plays the BBC comedy's titular character, shared a new still from the upcoming season on Instagram and announced that it will premiere on BBC Three on June 8.

The whole boxset will be available to watch the same day on BBC iPlayer.

The last time viewers saw Mobeen Deen three years ago, he had been arrested and sent to prison with Nate (Tolu Ogunmefun), after fan-favourite character Eight (Tez Ilyas) was killed.

Season four will pick up with the pair behind bars as they struggle to navigate their new lives.

The official synopsis reads: "With familiar faces returning in very unexpected situations, Mobeen and Nate need to negotiate a new set of challenges – but can our haphazard heroes make it to the end of their sentence without causing more mayhem and come good on their dream of living a quiet life?

"Will Aks finally accomplish her goal of training to be a Doctor and will evil Uncle Khan keep a relatively low profile in Pakistan or manage to torment Mobeen from afar?"

Following the commission of Man Like Mobeen season four last year, Khan said in a statement: "It's still crazy to me that despite having not made Man Like Mobeen for three years, it still means so much to the people. So we're making more, for you.

"As always, I promise authenticity both on and off screen. That's how real change is made."

Since season three aired in 2020, Khan has had roles in Netflix comedy The Bubble, Army of Thieves, HBO rom-com Our Flag Means Death.

Man Like Mobeen will season 4 will air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on June 8.
