Man 'murdered' in Crosland Moor home named as police issue new statement
Police investigating the murder of a man in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield, have named him as Simon Stell.
Mr Stell, 59, was found dead at his home in Park Road, Crosland Moor, at 8.19pm on Thursday, September 5. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Simon and a 56-year-old man was arrested and interviewed on suspicion of murder last week. He has since been released on conditional bail.
West Yorkshire Police said: "Police investigating the death of a man in the Crosland Moor area of Huddersfield earlier this month have released the man’s name. He has been formally identified as Simon Stell, aged 59.

"Police were called to Mr Stell’s property on Park Road, at 8:19pm on Thursday, 5 September, after he was found deceased within the address.
"Enquiries remain ongoing into the cause and circumstances of his death. A 56-year-old man has been arrested and interviewed on suspicion of murder and has since been released on conditional bail."
