Man in Nuneaton found breaking closure order on property within two days
A man was found breaking a closure order in Nuneaton within two days of the order being put in place. A town centre officer discovered a 39-year-old man inside Warwick House yesterday (November 28) despite there being a sign on the front door that it was closed.
Kirk Stevenson was fined £56 with an additional victim's surcharge of £16 for entering a property with a closure order in place.
Warwickshire Police said there shouldn't have been 'much confusion' about what a closure order meant, but within two days of the order being implemented, officers had already arrested one man for breaking it.

The property closed on Tuesday, November 26, following a series of 'drug-related deaths and antisocial behaviour'.
PC Tom Shorthouse of the Nuneaton Safer Neighbourhood Team said, "Closed means closed. The property was shut down because it was a magnet for antisocial behaviour and other problems affecting the town centre.
“We will continue to keep a close eye on Warwick House for anyone else who, like Mr Stevenson, thinks that the law doesn’t apply to them."
