Man Officially Changes His Name To ‘Bacon Double Cheeseburger’

London man Simon Smith decided he’s had enough of his boring name and opted for the slightly more exotic ‘Bacon Double Cheeseburger’ instead.

The 33-year-old has officially changed his name by deed poll to the Burger King favourite after deciding that his name until now just wasn’t that important.

And it didn’t take too long to think of the unusual moniker.

Bacon, as he is now known, told The Sunday People: “A name is the least important part of your personality. It’s given to you by someone else.”

“Bacon Double Cheeseburger was the first name I came up with.”

Idol: Wayne Rooney also proved to be a popular choice of name (Rex)

Mr Double Cheeseburger is not the only person to change his name to something a little unusual - in fact his isn’t even the most bizarre.

Louise Bowers, from the UK Deed Poll Service, said: “One man changed his name to Happy Birthday.

“It gave us a chuckle but if that is what they want to do, it’s their choice.”

One couple also decided to name themselves Mr and Mrs Amazing while some football fans opted for Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But nothing touches Bacon Double Cheeseburger - imagine the job interviews…
