Man randomly walking onto Cotswolds driveways reported to police

An incident of a man seen walking randomly onto people's drives, vandalism of a playground and a seller being scammed by a Facebook selling site buyer, are a few of the reports made to Gloucestershire Police in the past few days. Other incidents which have also been reported include several commercial units being broken into, and a safe and a stamp collection have been noted missing following a home break-in.

Details of some incidents reported to police have been posted to the Your Community Alerts Gloucestershire website. The website provides further information on where the incident happened, and provides a reference number for people to quote if and when they are able to provide further information about the crime to police.

The website also provides helpful crime prevention advice with information on how to keep your belongings and home safe. There is information which can be accessed about details of community information events and Neighbourhood Watch meetings.

Main Road, Whiteshill, Stroud: A white Volkswagen Caddy max has been stolen without keys from on the road outside a property. There is no sign of any broken glass being left behind. This happened in Main Road, Whiteshill between 7pm on September 19, 2024 and 7.30am on September 20, 2024 .Incident 055 of September 20, 2024. Shannon Way, Tewkesbury: Unknown offender(s) have gained entry to a vehicle by pushing in the lock. Various power tools have been stolen from the rear of the vehicle. Not known what makes of tool. This happened in Shannon Way, Tewkesbury overnight on September 18 and 19, 2024. Incident 075 of September 19, 2024. Tetbury Industrial Estate, Tetbury: Several commercial units have been broken into. Unknown offender(s) have broken the padlocks from the doors and kicked them to gain entry. Two bags of hand tools, drills and saws have been stolen. This happened in Tetbury Industrial Estate, Tetbury between 7.30pm on September 17, 2024 and 2pm on September 18, 2024. Glass House Road, Chipping Campden: The incident took place on play equipment within the Multi Use Gaming Area (MUGA) off Glass House Road, Chipping Campden between Thursday September 12 Friday 13 September. Unknown person/s have caused damage, including graffiti upon equipment within the site. Ebrington, near Chipping Campden: Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information following an incident where a man was seen walking on to residents driveways in the Ebrington area. Did you see any suspicious behaviour in the area recently? Local neighbourhood officers were in the area within a matter of minutes after the report and despite an extensive search of the area, we could not locate this person.

The male is described as being an Asian male with very short hair, grey beard, wearing a grey and black hoodie, black jogging bottoms and white and black trainers. Linworth Road, Bishops Cleeve: A vehicle parked on the road outside a property has been broken into. Unknown offender(s) have forced open a side door and stolen several power tools. Front Street, Nympsfield: Unknown offender(s) have gained access to a property by smashing the back door using a piece of rock from a rockery. A messy search has taken place upstairs and damage caused to the walls. A safe has been removed and furniture broken, a jewellery box and a stamp collection are missing. It is unknown at this time what else has been taken. This happened in Front Street, Nympsfield between Monday September 16 and 6.30pm on September 17, 2024. Incident 472 of September 17, 2024. Bike stolen after money transfer scam: Victim was selling a bike via. Facebook market place, buyer called round to collect the bike, showed photos of the bank transfer taking place, bike taken from the victims home and then no monies were ever received. Buyer has now disappeared from Facebook. Dark Green Carrera Vengeance stolen. Incident 0085 of September 17, 2024 refers. Bridge Street, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have entered a yard and stolen a whacker plate. A wheelbarrow was also moved and found by a hole that the offender(s) had made in the perimeter fence. A suspicious male described as gaunt and aged in his 40s was seen in the area. This happened in Bridge Street, Cheltenham between Friday 13 September and Monday 16 September. Upton Street, Gloucester: A vehicle on Upton Street in Gloucester was parked on a gated driveway and offenders have smashed the left hand window of the vehicle and opened the door. Removed from the vehicle was a Milwaukee 18V Drill, Milwaukee 18V Driver, Milwaukke battery charger with two batteries and a 60cm carved figurine of an African tribesman in dark wood. This happened between 00.15am on September 14, 2024 and 1.30am on September 15, 2024. Incident 0194 of September 16, 2024 refers. Andover Street, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on the road. Offenders have stolen power tools including two disc cutters, drills, electric saws, grinders and all the rechargeable batteries. This happened in Andover Street, Cheltenham between 4.30pm on September 16, 2024 and 8am on September 17, 2024. Incident 069 of September 17, 2024. Pittville Circus Road, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have entered a possibly unlocked car parked on the road and stolen items. No damage has been caused to the vehicle. Items stolen include two handbags, one grey, and the other black. A bag full of car cleaning supplies, loose change, a dash cam, bottle of alcohol and a pair of jeans. This happened in Pittville Circus Road, Cheltenham between 10.30pm on September 15, 2024 and 11am on September 16, 2024. Incident 265 of September 16, 2024. Gloucester Road, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have entered the garden of a property through a gate and stolen a motorbike from beneath a cover. The motorbike is a white and red Yamaha XSR700, it has bar end indicators and an aftermarket LED headlight. Hatherley Road, Gloucester: A bag containing sports kit, football boots, shin pads and a wallet was removed from a vehicle (causing no damage to the vehicle). Podsmead: A Yocles Black Electric Bike was removed from a garden shed in Podsmead between September 13, 2024 at 11am and September 15, 2024 12.30pm.
