Man rescued after getting into difficulty in water off Co Down beach
A man was rescued after getting into difficulty in the water off a Co Down beach.
The incident occurred at Skipperstone Beach in Bangor at around 9.45am on Tuesday morning, October 1.
A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirmed the man was recovered to shore by the Bangor Coastguard Rescue Team. The RNLI's inshore lifeboat from Bangor was also tasked to the scene.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended the scene and provided further care and assistance, with the man being taken to hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for the NIAS said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 10:05 on Tuesday 1st October following reports of an incident in the Skipperstone Beach Area, Bangor.
"NIAS despatched one Emergency Ambulance Crew to the incident. Following initial assessment and treatment at the scene, one patient was taken by ambulance to Ulster Hospital."
