Man in Royal Stoke with 'serious injuries' after 'falling from height'

A man has been taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' after 'falling from a height'. Police and paramedics were scrambled to Elgood Lane, in Goldenhill, this morning.

An air ambulance landed on Elgood Lane as part of the emergency services response. The alarm was raised at 11.37am today.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a patient who had fallen from height on Elgood Lane. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man. He was treated for serious injuries before being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital by land ambulance."
