Man rushed to hospital as air ambulance called to incident in Ashton
A man has been rushed to hospital after an air ambulance was scrambled to an incident in Ashton-under-Lyne.
An air ambulance was pictured in Bentinck Street car park this afternoon (Sunday). The MEN understands it was called following a medical emergency. Witnesses have also reported seeing paramedics and an ambulance at the nearby Portland Basin.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has confirmed a man was taken to hospital. No further details on the incident have been revealed.
The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has been contacted for further information.
