Man rushed to hospital after being found with serious injuries in flat

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found with serious injuries in a flat in Trafford on Thursday afternoon (June 6).

Police and paramedics attended the incident at an apartment block on Wardle Road in Sale at around 3.30pm. A man, whose age has not been confirmed, was found seriously injured at the scene.

The Manchester Evening News understands there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances involved. Officers had been called to concerns for the man's welfare.

The residential street was cordoned off, along with the entrance to the apartments. Forensics were seen bagging up evidence and coming in and out of the flats throughout Thursday evening.

It is currently thought that police are not looking for any suspects in relation to the incident. Investigations remain ongoing with a scene in place throughout the evening.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 3.30pm today (6 June 2024) officers were called to reports regarding the concerns for the welfare of a man in Wardle Road, Sale.

"He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and enquiries are ongoing."
