Shocking images from the scene showed the huge emergency response to the incident with height appliances leading to the shopping centre's roof that was put up for sale earlier this year.
Cops have confirmed a probe is ongoing to establish the full circumstances behind the incident. The condition of the man is currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.15pm on Saturday, 28 September, 2024, officers received a report of a man having been injured after falling from a roof on King Street, Kilmarnock.
“The 49-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
