Man rushed to hospital after motorbike and bus crash in Scots town

A man has been rushed to hospital following a crash between a bus and a motorbike on a Scots street.

Emergency services raced out to Napier Road in Glenrothes, Fife, at around 3pm on Saturday, September 28.

Police and ambulance crews were spotted at the scene in the town in pictures shared on social media.

Officers confirmed a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for several hours as a probe into the smash took place, with both vehicles being recovered by cops.

Another picture taken from the scene appears to show the motorcycle lying on its side underneath the other vehicle.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Saturday, 28 September 2024, we were called to a report of a crash involving a bus and a motorcycle on Napier Road, Glenrothes.

“Emergency services are in attendance and a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“The road was closed until 6pm to allow for an investigation and for the recovery of the vehicles.”
