Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries as several roads closed
A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car. Emergency services were called at 7.15pm to a report that a Toyota Prius had collided with a pedestrian at the junction of Wellington Road and Rathbone Road in Wavertree.
The pedestrian, a man believed to be in his forties, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene. Rathbone Road and Wellington Road at the junction with Wavertree Road are closed and diversions are in place as an investigation is carried out.
