Man sentenced to 50 years for 2022 murder of Longview teen

GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – A man was sentenced to 50 years confinement on Monday after pleading guilty to the 2022 murder of a Longview teenager.

Laderrion Johnson, 30, pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and murder.

Witnesses at the time of the shooting said there had been multiple conflicts between Johnson and others, including 14-year-old Rahsaan Jefferson, at the Preserve Apartments.

Johnson was arrested after a standoff with authorities, and he was indicted for the charges in November 2022 before pleading guilty.
