Man seriously injured after Bootle street brawl
A man was taken to hospital after an altercation on a residential street. Emergency services were called to the junction of Miranda Road and Beatrice Street in Bootle at around 5.30pm this evening, September 18, after reports that a number of males were involved in an altercation.
A number of males reportedly fled the scene in a car. A man in his 50s suffered suspected head injuries and has been taken to hospital where he is in a serious condition.
When the ECHO arrived in Bootle at around 8.30pm, a large cordon was in place stretching across Bedford Road, Beatrice Street and Miranda Road. There were several police vehicles present.

A local shop keeper said: "I didn't see it but there's been some sort of fight and a man is badly injured." Police remain at the scene to carry out CCTV and house-to-house inquiries and also provide reassurance to the community. Chief Inspector Gill Kearns said: “Enquiries are in the early stages as we seek to establish what has taken place.
“We are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and viewing CCTV in the area to assist with the investigation and would ask anyone who was in the area this evening who saw or heard anything suspicious to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
