Man seriously injured in Land Rover crash in Devonport


A man was seriously injured during a crash in Devonport. Emergency services were called to Devonport Hill early on Sunday morning (September 15) after a white Land Rover was involved in a collision.

Eyewitnesses told PlymouthLive a car was "smashed up" in the collision and a cordon had been set up around it. Footage taken at the scene showed a police cordon around the vehicle, which is at the junction of Devonport Hill and Mount Wise Crescent. The bonnet of the SUV style car has been completely crushed.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said a man had been injured in the crash. He was taken to hospital with a serious injury which is not believed to be life-changing.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a white Land Rover on Devonport Hill, Plymouth, at around 7.05am, on Sunday 15 September.

"Emergency services attended the scene. A man was taken to hospital with a serious injury which is not believed to be life changing."
