Man slashed in vicious knife attack outside Smethwick shop
A man suffered knife injuries after an attack outside a Black Country shop. The attack took place in Cheshire Road when a group of men approached a man on the night of Friday August 2.
The victim, who is 39, was slashed with a knife at around 10pm. He had to be taken to hospital for further treatment.
West Midlands Police officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack or who were in the area at the time.

A statement issued by a spokesman for the forces said: “We are appealing for information following a serious assault in Smethwick. A man was attacked by a group of men and was slashed with a knife outside a shop in Cheshire Road, Smethwick, at around 10pm on 2 August.
“We would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time, and can help with our investigation.
